 I got out for a little while this morning though the weather was dreary and gray. I wanted to give the new lens a bit of a try-out. This is one of the many little towers scattered around the NYS Capitol which has figured in several of my shots in the last few days. One thing I learned today was that the crane, pictred in my post two days ago, is gone! I guess they shut down the roofing project for the winter. This shot was taken from street level and is pretty much as shot with a little cropping to remove some peripheral stuff that detracted from the composition. Of the pictures I took today this is the best. I am finding that the lens is fairly soft ... so great detail will not be it's stong suit. Have to wait for some nicer conditons to really test it though. | |
