![]() One more week till Christmas. There is a bit of a story behind this picture, which I hope my mother will forgive me for sharing. I live alone. My sister and her family visited me for a couple of days this past week. A few weeks ago, my mother asked if I planned to have a tree for their visit. I answered that no, I was not planning a tree this year. After all, I don't have the family decorations, I don't have plans for any sort of major Christmas 'do.' But my mother says, 'Oh, I think you will have a tree.' We went back and forth like that a few times then she said, 'I BET you do have a tree!' I began thinking of all the things I want -- a new tripod, a flash, some news lenses... 'Ok,' I said, 'HOW MUCH?' Needless to say, she immediately saw the folly of her wager and it did not happen. But she did send me this little Snowman tree decoration as a gift (I opened gifts with my sister the other night). So this morning I took it outside and perched it in a pine tree and shot some pictures of my 'Christmas Tree.' Hope that everyone who visits my site has a wonderful holiday and the Santa grants all your wishes! NEW FEATURE!!! I am adding a new feature that I have done in comments so far but have decided to formalize. I call it my 'WOW' award. Totally subjective award to be given whenever a photo posted on a Photoblog I visit makes me gasp and say 'WOW!' No monetary reward! Only a notice on my site and acknowldegment in my comments on your site! Today's award go to Otto at Lenscape, Title 'How's My Hair?' ![]() | |
