4th Avenue, Albany NY 5:15 PM, December 23

Ah. A long weekend. A Christmas Holiday.

But I will be working, trying to get a contract technical writing project completed by Tuesday. No specific plans for the days. Know I will visit my kids and have a bit of a Christmas with them. I know I will work. I know I will fool with pictures. I know I will be wandering the electrons of photoblogland.

It was warm when I left the office, so I decided to take a few minutes and shoot some of the night pictures I have been meaning to but did not because it was just too cold.

This is 4th Avenue on the Albany, NY south side. As I have said before of this area, it is not one of Albany's better neighborhoods. A man was murdered in front of the Twilight Lounge a few months ago. There is a well known crack house a few doors down. One of the largest of Albany's high rise Section 8 housing projects is just to the right of this image. And the building on the left side of the image is my office! We don't go for the trappings of architecture and style!

My car, for anyone who cares, is the first one on the left side.

Hey, thanks to everyone who has been supportive of the WOW Award. It's fun to go hunting for that special rush. No award tonight. I am taking the night off from blogging. Will be back tomorrow!
