![]() Part of Chantal's City Mirror Project I leave my office in the dark until later in the year...maybe by mid to late February it will still be light when I leave. But now, and since November anyway, I leave in the dark. And the corner is always alive with the activity of the Twilight Lounge. Not the sort of place you drop into unless you are with someone who knows the place. But it looks inviting enough. But as I have said before, the neighborhood is at the bottom of the barrel as far as Albany is concerned. Crime ridden housing projects, well known crack houses, and a murder at the Twilight Lounge only a few months ago. No, I think I will find my happy hour elsewhere. Handheld shot into car rearview mirror. Mike's Right Brain, is one of my first stops every day. He has demonstrated an uncanny ability to capture the spirit of Chicago (and other places he visits) that has given me more than one WOW experience since I began following his work. This morning, I had just settled down to cruise the sites before heading out for a day of shooting myself, when I hit his post titled 'Pilings. He had posted a similar shot a few days ago, but this long exposure over a bit of Lake Michigan is a unique look at one of America's great cities! We also learn from that earlier post, that Mike suffered for these shots, it was cold, cold, cold when he was out there. ![]() | |
