I have just finished doing my RAW processing on the pictures I took while away for the past week. I have culled the number down from over 600 to a bit over a 100. The next step will be the Photoshop processing and deciding which to post, which to print, which to send to friends and family, etc.

I was not sure how to approach the pictures... do them chronologically as I spent my time or just post them as the mood stuck me. I have already established my style as being 'unstuck in time' so I will do this as the mood strikes me.

So my mood tonight is to post a simple snapshot of me with my mother on her back porch. She has recently downsized her home from a rambling three-bedroom home she and my father moved into in 1981, to a much smaller, but more convenient and easier to care for, place. For regular visitors to forgingahead, you now have a face to put with 'Mom.' Her desire to stay in touch with me led her to my blog and over the past few months from there to a number of others. If she has left a comment on your site, feel priveliged because she tolerates the computer and the internet as a necessary evil of living into the 21st century.

Anyway, if I did not get the message across yet, thanks for the nice visit Mom. Your new place is quite pleasant and I am sure you will settle in real soon.
