 Before I move on to other subjects, one last vie of the now abandoned motel complex at Rockfish Gap. If any of you have ever seen the old Walton's television show (You know, 'goodnight John Boy!'), you may be familiar with the name 'Rockfish,' which was a town that played a prominent role in that series. In fact the show was set in Nelson County which abuts both Augusta and Albemarle counties at this very location. Walton's Mountain (if there really is such a place) would not have been too far away. | |
