EXIF: KONICA MINOLTA MAXXUM 5D | 1/15 sec | f 5.6 | 45.0mm (35mm equivalent: 67.0mm) | ISO 100

On a cold morning a few days ago Ana posted a shot of frost on the window and I was inspired to follow suit...it took me awhile to get around to figuring out how to make the shot work. Not the sharpest picture (I had trouble focusing on the glass) but I was happy with the interesting tendrils of frost and their contrast with the background.

WOW Award

I have not given out a WOW Award since November 3. Perhaps some of you thought I was done with that. I will admit that I have spent less time perusing fellow blogger's sites and I really have little time for the process of making the awards. But this morning I was trying to catch up on my Blogline subscriptions and came to a dead stop at Leisa's shot Reflection. She says it is the first attempt with a new Macro lens. This caused me to have two reactions -- beyond my initial WOW. First, my sense was she has already taken the 'perfect macro shot' so she should return the lens. And second, it regenerated my desire to add a decent macro lens to my arsenal. Please enjoy this great shot...it even has appropriate Christmas colors!
