 I am posting this shot from work today. Unfortunately, I joined the ranks of fellow photobloggers whose computer decided to take a vacation. When I tried to get it started after work yesterday it was sluggish and behaved oddly. I tried to do a backup because it was clear that things were 'not right.' The backup was about 98% complete when I got a 'Blue Screen' and Windows informed me that I had a corrupt or missing configuration file. Attempts to repair succeeded only in confirming for me that all data is still intact on the drive but did not get me back in running condition. I had been shopping for a newer, faster, bigger (memory and hard drive) computer but had been avoiding it due to other demands on my cash. But now I must pull the trigger and get something to get back up and running. At any rate, forgingahead will be on and off for the next week or so due to this occurence. | |
