 NOTE: I posted this picture over a week ago but had to disable it because it had priority over the shots I had already set up to post automatically while I was away and would have been the main picture on the site the entire week. A-Rod did hit his 500th later in the week and now begins the long climb to top the new home run king, Barry Bonds. Well, I just got home after a terrible drive home from Baltimore. A trip that took 5 1/2 hours going down yesterday took nearly NINE hours coming home. Traffic was simply unbelievable almost the entire trip, though I found an alternative around the Garden State Parkway after it ground to a halt. I'd probably still be out there if I had not found that route. Any, I went to the Yankees/Orioles game at Camden Yard with my son. Along with about 50,000 others we were hoping to see A-Rod (#13 in this picture) hit his 500th career homerun. I shot one picture after another of him looking at pitches, swinging at pitches, and in this case, fouling pitches off -- bit no home run for us. I must close down here now as I am flying out tomorrow morning at 6 AM and won't be back for 8 days. I posted some automatic posts to keep you stimulated. | |
