Autumn Color
EXIF: KONICA MINOLTA MAXXUM 5D | 1/50 sec | f 11.0 | 90.0mm (35mm equivalent: 135.0mm) | ISO 200

A break from the photos of my weekend on Cape Cod. I managed drive out in the country today. I was trying to find an old building I remembered passing many years ago that I thought would make an interesting study. Along the way, I encountered some interesting autumn scenes as I traveled in the foothills of the Adirondacks. The light was not cooperative, however, as it became quite overcast, making the sky all washed out in most of the pictures.

I did find the building, an old 19th century sanitorium. It was much closer to the road than I remembered and now surrounded by ten foot high fences and marked with painted on 'No Trespassing' signs. I slowed to take a look and several people in a house across the street began to watch me closely. Apparently they serve as a sort of neighborhood watch to keep the riff raff from using the place for parties. I saw no clear photo ops without trespassing, so drove along.
