![]() It is very late (or early?)...I got home from the trip to Stennis Space Center a few hours ago. I've not had tme to sort through the pictures made while there yet, but this was on of my personal favorites. Such an odd feeling to be standing in 95 degree heat and seeing pipes coated in ice. The pipes carry liquid hydrogen, which is, to put it mildly, quite cold. Cold enough to make the pipes carrying it be covered with a pretty thick coating of ice, which in the hot air is in a constant state of sublimation from ice directly to gas... so here's a shot of that happening. | |
