 I'm not sure who this Banksy-like piece is supposed to represent (Cheney??) but thought it was a kind of surprising message to find this spray painted admonition emblazoned on the lid of a ground water monitoring well. Update 1/16/11: I just watch a documentary on street art and believe this is a work by famed street artist Shephard Fairy, famous now for his portrait of Barack Obama used in his 2008 campaign. No telling how it got into the woods on Peebles Island, but according to a brief blurb at the end of the movie it says he continues to post his 'OBEY' art around the world. | |
