An interesting building that is part of the Matton Shipyard complex inside Peebles Island State Park. Unfortunately, the entire complex is surrounded by a very ugly, old chainlink fence that makes decent pictures all but impossible. I guess they are beginning some sort of restoration because many of the buildings show signs of recent activity. Surprisingly, this shipyard, which was founded in 1916 at about the same time New York state opend the Barge Canal, produced ships right up into the 1980's.

My Picture of the Day: I wasn't too inspired in the recent photoblog section of Photoblog.Org, so I went to one of my bookmarked sites and landed on this beautiful picture. Enjoy!
