This is yet another view of my current home town. I love this perspective on the city. The major natural feature of this picture is Cohoes Falls. I have pictured it earlier and will many times again. As the second largest waterfall on the east coast (second only to Niagara Falls) I can't help bt be drawn towards it. I love waterfalls and this one is so very majestic when it actually has water flowing over it. Thank goodness it did when I found this opportunity. If you notice to the left of the falls there is a cluster of red brick buildings (ok, I helped the color a little bit). That is the Harmony Mill complex I have included in earlier posts. Wonderful complex of mid- to late-nineteenth century cotton mills. In its prime, Harmony Mills made Cohoes the largest producer of cotton thread in the world!

My choice for today's pic was a surprise. I was using the Randomizer (mostly it seems to help Brandon clean up old nonexistent blog entries) when I found this site apparently in Arabic (I think is is Arabic, but then I really don't know). Can't read the name or the captions except for the Exif data about the shots. But the site has some wonderful pictures. I wonder whose site it is and where it is from. Here's the picture I selected for today
