![]() As I prepare this entry, I am about to go and meet for the first time with a group of local photographers. About a month ago, frustrated with not being able to find a local group, I started one on Yahoo Groups. We now have 17 members and hope to have many more. We are meeting this morning up at Thacher State Park, best known, perhaps, for its phenomenal views across the Mohawk Valley and up to the southern Adirondacks. We won't have that view today as it is heavily overcast. Even moreso than it was yesterday when I shot this picture of construction work at a nearby electric power plant. Based on several comments I had, I revisited this shot and have posted a completely different version in my PhotoNet portfolio. In that version there is no Photoshop sharpening, which I overdid on this version, and I used a multply blend on a copy of the background to create more of a silouhette effect. Let me know if you like that version. | |
