 I want to thank all of you who have sent me advice and links for understanding RAW. I think now I understand WHY I should care, but my issue really is one of software. The provided software with the camera is terribly slow on my older laptop computer. Will I be forced to buy a new computer TOO?? I don't think that is in the cards now, though maybe a memory upgrade is possible. Anyway, this was a RAW image that I processed using DiMage Master Lite, the software that came with the camera. And a little post processing in PhotoShop as well. I am off Sunday to visit a friend in Massachusetts and will hopefully have good enough weather to get a bunch of new shots as I wend my way through the Berkshires on Route 2. | |
