In July of 1966, my family took another of our summer expeditions. Our first stop was to visit family in the Rochester, NY area. My mother will rightfully chastise me for not understanding the nature of the relationship, but all I know s that there are a lot of folks in Rochester that are distantly related to me through my Father.

I was but 15 (almost 16) when we made this trip. At the time, I was shooting with a Yashica rangefinder (don't recall the model) and mostly shot B&W and did the processing myself in a darkroom my father and I built. When this slide presented itself to me last weekend, I was quite impressed. In fact even after scanning I found that I had little reason to do much post processing. I did adjust levels a bit, but that is about all.

I believe this may have been from one of the first rolls of slide film I ever shot. Ektachome 64, processed and mounted by a lab called 'Colorfax' located in Silver Spring, Maryland. I know the first slides I ever shot were on Kodachrome 25 and most of them were terribly exposed.
