Tally's Corner

If you studied sociology anytime after the mid-1960s you must have been exposed to the classic study of black social structure in Washington DC, Tally's Corner.

This shot was taken from a passing bus along the streets of Washington back in about 1970. I have had a print of this shot in my collection for years (well, since about 1970, I guess). I scanned it yesterday and boosted the contrast a bit. It reminded me of the book, so it got that title.
